Netduino FIrmware Upgrade Tutorial

In order to upgrade or replace the firmware in your Netduino you will need to download some software first.

Prerequisites:

• Visual Studio 2010 Express C# or VB
• .Net Micro Framework 4.2
• Netduino SDK

Software you must download for the firmware upgrade:

1. Download the Netduino Firmware
2. Download and install SAM-BA from Atmel
3. You will also need the MFDeploy utility that is installed with .Net Micro Framework.

Firmware upgrade steps:

1. Reset your Netduino
2. Using SAM-BA enable Boot From Flash.
3. Using SAM-BA enable Flash Access
4. Using SAM-BA load in the TinyBooterDecompressor.bin
5. Use MFDeploy to upload ER_FLASH.hex and ER_CONFIG.hex
6. Done!
